Rick Monday saves the flag....

Thirty years ago this month, Rick Monday, centerfielder for the visiting Chicago Cubs, saved the US flag from two creeps trying to burn it on the outfield lawn of Dodger Stadium. The MLB honored the former Marine's show of respect last week and linked to the audio of Dodgers' legendary sportscaster, Vin Scully's audio from that game on April 25th, 1976. Listen to the historic broadcast here:

http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060424&content_id=1415977&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

Do you think ballplayers of today would have the conviction to do what Monday did all those years ago. They might, but it would only be the ones from third-world countries like the Dominican Republic or Cuba, who actually love and VALUE their freedom in America. Certainly not the the spoiled, self-indulgent, steroid-abusing, crybaby girly-men occupying most MLB rosters!

Casey Sheehan's missing headstone....

On the left is the picture of a cemetery. What cemetery and whose grave? It, sadly, is the grave of Casey Sheehan. After two years, and a DOD payment of $250,000 to "Peace Mom," Cindy, she has not had the time or bothered to have a headstone placed on this young hero's grave. And, she doesn't even have to pay for one, the DOD will provide one:

"The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a government headstone or marker for the grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world. For all deaths occurring before September 11, 2001, the VA may provide a headstone or marker only for graves that are not marked with a private headstone. Flat markers in granite, marble, and bronze and upright headstones in granite and marble are available. The style chosen must be consistent with existing monuments at the place of burial. Niche markers are also available to mark column area used for inturnment of cremated remains."

She can find time to protest on at least 3 continents, blow through $250,000 on a new car and vacation in Hawaii, get arrested on several occasions, have photo ops with the Marxists in Venezuela, and erect tributes to herself but can't seem to find the time to properly mark her son's grave.

Disgusting.

That's one UGLY baby....

This is the funniest Flash movie I've ever seen, and oh-so-true!

http://hotair.com/archives/top-picks/2006/04/25/an-ugly-baby/

Check it out, it's hilarious and plays on the ridiculous marriage of liberal and conservative ideologies that has led to our current 'open border' situation. The GOP and conservative leaders out here need to grow a pair and stop trying to placate their brethren on the left. We've got the White House, we've got Congress, let's punch thru some legislation that actually remedies our immigration and border problem instead of cowtowing and pandering to a vocal minority called 'illegals and the libs who love them!'

The face of Islam in America....

Want to see what the face of American Islamic Jihad looks like? The face of a religion that claims to be peaceful and unobtrusive? One that claims to be able to exist, peaceably, among it's neighbors and other religions. Read this: http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49865

Then watch this video entitled Islamist Pro Suicide Bomber Rally in NYC in the upper right hand corner of the screen at http://www.nefafoundation.org/
This footage should scare the hell out of you. And what should frighten you even more is that other 'moderate' Muslim groups have not stood up and denounced this rally in NY City.

But hey, how could we expect them to denounce this when they won't even stand up and condemn the thoughless slaughter of over 3,000 Americans on 9-11, the mass terror in Spain, London and Israel and the daily murder of dozens in Iraq.

It's time we wake up to the real threat that Islam, even moderate Islam, represents. It's here, it's among us and it's going to destory us if we're don't remain educated and vigilant.

CONFIRMED: Snowman at the White House....

Well, it's official!

My good buddy, Tony Snow of FOX News and The Tony Snow Show heard 9-Noon on KVI, will be the next White House Press Secretary! W tapped him last week after previous P.S. Scott McClellan stepped down as part of the widespread shakeups at the top of the Bush administration, and FOX has confimed that the announcement will take place tomorrow morning.

Let me tell you, Tony is the nicest guy in radio and the most informed and connected guy I've ever met. He knows the ins-and-outs of life on the Hill and what goes on behind closed doors. He brings with him a stellar resume that includes being speechwriter for Bush I, plus his biting, yet logical approach to politics and world affairs.

But mark my words, the liberal press will have a field day with the FOX News connection that prove, in their mind, that FOX is a biased shill for the administration. But nothing could be further from the truth. I've spend hundreds of hours listening to Tony and believe me, when Bush & Co. need to be verbally whipped back into shape, he's the one to step up. All this nomination means to me is that George, Dick and the boys at the top LISTEN to talk radio, Tony specifically! And that's fantastic.

No one deserves this honor more and I couldn't be happier for him and his family. Midst a recent and valiant fight with colon cancer, during which he barely left the air, he proved a true fighter and someone who doesn't back down from adversity. I just can't wait to see him go toe-to-toe with Helen Thomas and the rest of the liberal lap-dogs in the Press Corps!

Congrats Tony!

And, while we're making congratulations, kudos to Bush for making such a wise choice. Atta boy, Dub.

Saddam getting his due....

Check out this link. The photo comes from Iraq and could be considered, by some, as slightly tasteless. But if you can handle mild bathroom humor, check it out. I tell you, I'd be doing the same thing as this soldier if I was in his boots!

http://www.barryandandy.com/images/funnys/Soldier.jpg

See George thinks it's funny too!

This is GOOD....

Kirby forwarded this to me from a listener, it's awesome.

WHY?

Cindy Sheehan asked President Bush, "Why did my son have to die in Iraq?"

Another mother asked President Kennedy, "Why did my son have to die in Vietnam?"

Another mother asked President Truman, "Why did my son have to die in Korea?

Another mother asked President Roosevelt, "Why did my son have to die at Iwo Jima?"

Another mother asked President Wilson, "Why did my son have to die on the battlefield of France?"

Yet another mother asked President Lincoln, "Why did my son have to die at Gettysburg?"

And yet another mother asked President Washington, "Why did my son have to die near Valley Forge?"

Then long, long ago, a mother asked, "Heavenly Father, why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of Jerusalem?"

The answers to all these are similar -- "that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness and freedom."

Michael Ramirez, artistic sage....

Michael Ramirez is one of the most talented political cartoonists I have ever encountered. And as someone who's spent quite some time in the field myself, I've seen a few. Here, as always, he makes an incredibly salient point regarding our illegal immigration issue and the inaction of our federal government, an entity who's Consitutionally provided purpose is to protect us from foreign invasion. Click on the image to see a larger view and catch all of his pieces at http://www.cagle.com

The Muhammad Cartoons....

At the bottom of this posting there's a link to Michelle Malkin's site, where she's posted the Danish cartoons of Muhammad that caused such an uproar in the radical Muslim community. These Islamic brutes would like nothing more than to scare the Danes, the USA and the rest of the globe into submission with their threats of violence. Check out the cartoons and tell me that we're dealing with SANE individuals.

At no time has it been more important to embrace the idea of free speech and freedom of the press and show your support for the Danish people. These Muslims are radicals, teetering on the edge of the abyss of insanity.

How many times, DAILY, are all manner of religious symbols or figures made fun of and satirized? (If that is even what these Muhammad cartoons could be called!) It's apparent that the Muslim world is just looking for another excuse to whip themselves in to a frenzy towards the Western world. They refuse to understand freedom of speech, much like liberals - it only applies when you agree with them or, at the very least, don't offend them.

That's why I'm posting a link to these (some would say dangerous, inflammatory) images. We've got to stand up to this kind of mentally and show these creeps that we will not bend, cave or bow to their radical, tyrannical ideology of intolerance for other people freedoms and opinions. A wiser man than I once said, "Freedom of speech doesn't protect the speech you love, it protects the speech you hate."

These people need to understand that if their "prophet" didn't espouse an ideology of hate and death, two sentiments at the very root of Islam (as per their book, the Koran) they wouldn't be recieving such negative PR.

See the Muhammad cartoons here: http://michellemalkin.com/archives/004413.htm

And if you really want to put a stick in the eye of this imbecilic crowd, buy one of these shirts:

And they call us bigots....

Found this on the net and thought it made a great point -

Let's see just how racist conservatives are...

1. Emancipation Proclamation issued by...a Republican President.

2. Slavery abolished under...a Republican President and a Republican Congress.

3. Japanese interned under a Repub...no, wait...sorry, that was a Democrat.

4. (Percentage wise), more Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act than Democrats. They must've had some ulterior racist motive of which only they were aware.

5. Affirmative Action implemented under a Republican President (Nixon).

6. First black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as first black Secretary of State, under a Republican President.

7. First black woman named as Secretary of State...under a Republican President.

8. Still, lots and lots of KKK members in Congress are part of the Republican Party. No...my mistake again - Byrd is the only one I found (and he's a Democrat).

9. Republicans oppose the school choice and vouchers that the...majority of blacks support. Oops, my mistake again - Republicans support them while Democrats oppose them.

10. Well, at least the majority of blacks are pro-choice, right? Nope, most are...pro-life.

11. Well, at least most support gay marriage. Sorry, my mistake again. Once more, Republicans are more in line with majority black views than Democrats.

12. Republicans throw Oreo cookies at...black people running for Congress. Darn, that's the Dems, too.

13. Republicans enacted the Jim Crow laws. Nope, wrong again.

14. Republicans are racist because the Democrats say we are. That's about as close as I can get.

I'll go see THIS one!!!

Time to pay the tax man....

Well, tax day is upon us again. Like the inevitable arrival of flu season, your in-laws visit or that trip to the dentist, the second week in April shows up like a thief in the night (and just as welcome) bleeding you of all that hard earned cash you've acquired throughout the year. Yeah, the money that was supposed to go to that new pool, car or hair-weave. Gracious sakes - death and taxes, no fun at all. And just to twist the blade a bit, my friends over at the Heritage Foundation thought they'd outline jus HOW your money is spent by the federal government. Check it out, but make sure you're sitting down and haven't eaten within the last 30 minutes! http://www.heritage.org/Press/Commentary/ed041406d.cfm

Third Place in the Seattle Poker Open....

Well, we played our Seattle Poker Open Spring Season Championship today, so I spent a good portion of my Easter Sunday in the poker room at the Tulalip Casino! But the Good Lord smiled on me today and I placed third! (Out of 32 of the toughest players in the SPO!) Third got me a trophy, as you can see, and a free $90 buy-in to the World Series of Poker Satellite Tournament at the Tulalip in a few weeks. Should I place well there it means a buy-in to the WORLD SERIES OF POKER in Las Vegas or another exotic local!
http://www.worldseriesofpoker.com/

Thanks to everyone who was praying for my play, the Lord blessed me today and He gets the glory. Please keep the prayers coming as there are a few more miles to go before I make the big time!

You can check out photos from the tourney and get info about the SPO at http://www.seattlepokeropen.com Posted by Picasa

Letter to Presidente' Bush....

Dear President Bush,

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U. S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U. S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U. S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V. P.

Thank you so much for your kind help.

Sincerely,

Matt Haver

A two-bit scheme....

Apparently the Washington State Quarter Design voting website I referenced earlier was hacked and a computer generated program was stuffing the electronic ballot box in favor of the third, Indian Orca tribal, design. Hmmmm, I wonder who could have been behind it. I do know one thing, that our casino-American friends are incredibly adept at automating things and electronic gaming....er....programs.

At all costs, the site is back up and we're being told that the invalid votes have been purged. But remember, this is Washington State....votes can materialize out of thin air, especially in King County!

Go and cast your vote new here: http://www.governor.wa.gov/quarter/default.asp

The Color Brown....

OK, so if Brown is Beautiful....

Then I've gotta say.... my hedges.

(Hey, it's their rallying cry.)

Jobs Americans won't do....

There was a time in this country (even at 24 I've seen a glimpse of it!) when jobs like groundskeeping, lawn work, hotel hospitality, etc. (jobs now held mainly by illegal aliens and unskilled adult laborers) we're done by another HUGE work force willing to put in a honest days work for a minimum wage. They were called TEENAGERS.

When I was a kid I cut the grass, swept floors, raked leaves, pulled weeds, bussed tables, carried a leaf-blower and cleaned bathrooms. For my labor I was rewarded with a paycheck that most kids would scoff at today, barely enough cash to keep that Ipod in batteries. Most of my early years, pre-college, I worked manual-labor gigs and made no more than minimum wage - and was GLAD to do it! Now we're being told we have a gaping hole in our labor market, where jobs exist that, I'm told, no American will do. Just another reason to grant all the 12 million illegals in the US legal status. After all, we NEED these people to do all those jobs that WE won't do! Hmmm. Is it just me, or could this shortage of willing US workers be caused, in part, by teens that have become lazy, spoiled and all about Me, Me, Me? Kids unwilling to pick up a shovel, clean a toilet or do other "undesirable," "un-hip" jobs that so many before them have performed? For a perfect example of the kind of clueless, self-centered mentality I'm referring to, check out Curt Smith's new piece at National Review. http://nationalreview.com/comment/smith200604100745.asp

The "experts" and thousands marching in the streets this week are right. We DO have an enormous workforce available to us just waiting to be recognized... and most of them are upstairs playing X-Box!

Scary how right on this cartoon is.... Posted by Picasa

Muslims Support Open Borders (and why that's scary!)

Check out this link to Michelle Malkin's site. Apparently C.A.I.R. and other radical Muslim groups have begun supporting the idea for open borders that our illegal hispanic friends are so fond of. Steve Camorata of the Center for Immigration Studies outlines why an open borders policy puts this country at a greater risk of another 9-11. http://michellemalkin.com/archives/004954.htm

Bush was RIGHT!!!

I hate MySpace, but you've gotta visit this site and check out my friends, The Right Brothers, and their new song Bush Was Right. We had them on the show last week and they are the real deal! http://www.myspace.com/therightbrothers

Check out their website and other songs here:

A leprechaun in Mobile(?)....

Oh my Lord! Watch the video at the link below and suddenly it will become clear why the inhabitants of the Gulf Coast, especially those in Alabama, didn't have the collective gray-matter to get out of the path of Hurricane Katrina! And get a load of the sketch drawing of the "leprechaun," I haven't laughed so hard in years!

The Protest Circus....

FLY YOUR US FLAG TODAY! Illegal aliens and those that love them are busy waving the Mexican flag and protesting all over the country today, in an attempt to sway public opinion against a immigration bill these criminals object too. They guise their protests under the banner of "protecting immigrants" when what they really want to do is protect and legalize the people who are here ILLEGALLY. Listen to the way they refer to their ilk, as "undocumented workers." Excuse me? Undocumented? They have no interest in being "documented!" If they did, they wouldn't have snuck across the Rio Grande under the cover of night with the help of drug runners, "coyotes" and the Mexican government, only to find a menial seasonal job picking fruit as their wives give birth to "anchor babies" in taxpayer funded ER rooms, running them low on revenue! They would have done it the right way, the way thousands and millions of people have done so in the past...Legally. There are literally millions who would kill to come to the US and even more waiting in immigration lines, tirelessly working to become a US citizen, watching as illegals flood across a line in the sand referred to as a border, to take the jobs and places they themselves have worked, many of them, decades to obtain.

Anyone who thinks this is all about "immigration" and people "doing the jobs American won't do," check out these photos from protests around the country. We have a 4.7 percent unemployment rate, if you keep these international criminals (cause that's what they are) from holding US jobs, you'll be left with a vacuum in the US economy, a vacuum that would naturally fill with the 4.7 percent who are unemployed. And don't tell me that American's won't do these jobs! Once the illegal population is weeded out, hourly wages level off again once large companies and corporations can't hire the fly-by-night workers they are used to paying a pittance. And what would happen if we give them blanket amnesty and make them all legal United State's citizens? They become Americans and we'll need more illegals to do the jobs THEY won't do after gaining citizenship!!

Bottom line, some of these people are here to do an honest day's work, provide for their family and make a life in a country full of opportunity. And that's fine, we want the best folks that the rest of the world has to offer coming and contributing to the US economy and workforce. All we ask is that they arrive the proper way. And once you're here, don't demand that we acclimate to YOUR way of life. This is the US, not Mexico-North! If Mexico is so great and "brown is so beautiful," why are you here and not in your mother country? Because the conomy in Mexico is a shambles, the government and military are corrupt, drug abuce and trade is rampant and the country is teetering on the edge of third-world-dom!

Nowhere else in the world could an immigrant cross the border illegally, join the workforce, demand that their host country print everything (including voting ballots) in their native tongue, provide them with free health care, school their children, provide driver's licenses and hand out social benefits like we do here. And that, in a way, is tribute to the compassion and given nature of Americans - and that should be applauded, but not at the risk of our national security and not at the demise of our rule of law.

Throughout this posting you'll find pictures of some of the groups "protesting our immigration legislation." Many of them are nothing more than "brown racists." Don't believe me? Supplant these images with those of a white-supremacists rally and tell me there's a lot of difference! These idiots think that America belongs to them, that the US "stole" it after the Mexican-American War. They're playing the blame game and playing the victim, just like any other whiny, discontent minority in this country. The blacks blame the whites, the women blame men, fat blame the thin, poor blame the rich, and on and on. It's obvious that these individuals must be the products of our fine public school system, since it's obvious they know nothing of how we acquired Texas, California and the rest of the border states that most of these race-baters would like to see returned to Mexican control. And what would happen if we did turn a portion of the US back to them? It'd look just like the national s**t-hole that is Mexico within months! Take my word for it.

Anyone interested in how it actually went down, read what a KVI listener sent me:

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was the peace treaty that ended the Mexican-American War(1846-1848). The treaty provided for the Mexican Cession, in which Mexico ceded 525,000 square miles to the United States in exchange for USASD $15 million. The United States also agreed to take over $3.25 million in debts Mexico owed to American citizens. The cession included parts of the modern-day U.S. states of Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming, as well as the whole of California, Nevada, and Utah. The remaining parts of what are today the states of Arizona and New Mexico were later ceded under the 1853 Gadsen Purchase. The treaty was signed by Nicholas P. Trist on behalf of the United States and three plenipotentiary representatives of Mexico on February 2, 1848 , at the Villa of Guadalupe (today Gustavo A. Madero, D.F.), slightly north of Mexico City. It was subsequently ratified by the United States Senate on March 10 and by the Mexican government on May 19; the countries' ratifications were duly exchanged on May 30, 1848, at the city of Santiago de Queretaro..

So..Should we citizens of the U.S. demand our money back, adjusted for 160 years of inflation and interest accrued, and pick up the Mexican-American War where we left off? A 21st Century USAF, USN, USA, and USMC vs....

I like the idea, what'd 'ya think?

A (state) quarter for your thoughts....

With the advent of the state-specific quarters being minted by the federal government, it is time for the citizens of the State of Washington to vote on their favorite design - a design that will represent our state to the rest on the union. At the following link you'll find three prototypes, the third being tribal artwork of the Indian variety. While I'm American-Indian, I don't feel that an Indian-specific design properly represents the citizenry of the state of Washington, and is nothing more than a feel-good way for the libs in Olympia to pay homage to the poor natives we so mercilessly ran off their land. Most people that reside in our state are NOT American-Indian and the fact is, the tribes already hold too much power in our fair state, running a virtual monopoly on gambling, cigarettes, gaming and more. The other two designs are much more appropriate to our beautiful state and should be considered seriously. This may seem as a small battle to you, but it will be a small battle won against rampant political-correctness in Washington State if number three is defeated. My pick is number one, take a look and choose for yourself: http://www.governor.wa.gov/quarter/default.asp
