Got Purple Ink?

Let's show some solidarity with the people of Iraq as they, once again, head to the polls this Thursday. And let's remember who made that possible, the Unites States Armed Forces. Today marks the 2 year anniversary of the capture of Saddam Hussein. Just over two years ago the people of Iraq were subject to the torturous, dictatorial ways of this madman and now, December '05, they head to the polls for a THIRD time to elect their own representative form of Democratic government.

Hey all you self-professed feminists out there - do you think there were any women going to the polls in Saddam's Iraq? If you do, I've got a bridge to sell you!

Check out the site put together by my friends at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, at http://www.purplefingerforfreedom.org/ for some ideas on how to show some support for own friends in the Middle East. And remember to thank our servicemen and women who have done so much to benefit the Iraqi people in such a short period of time and with such amazing courage and ease.

God bless and protect the citizens of Iraq and our soldiers assisting in their quest for self-governance.
