Do these people even stop to think?

They're losers (see Election 2004) bottom line. And they just won't stop assailing us with their ridiculous ideas and thoughtless rhetoric!

I always hated his ideology and plans for the country, but on the surface I liked Howard Dean. I liked the fact that he was passionate, albeit over misguided principles. I liked the fact that he was fiery and didn't seem to give a damn what the media or sensitive among us thought of him. And I also liked his ability to energize the grassroots of the Democratic Party and breathe a little steam into their emaciated ranks, although it turned to hot air awfully quick. But somebody has got to stop this guy, either that, or get him on some different meds! Cause the stuff he's spouting now if just plain dangerous. Dangerous for us here at home and dangerous for our troops abroad. Let me explain.

The Chairman of the DNC, the leader of one of the two biggest parties in the nation and a myriad of followers, said this on WOAI Radio, San Antonio, "the idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong." http://www.woai.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=C36A87B9-63A0-4CDE-AA91-B41571AFD3AF

What? Say that again? Wait, please don't!

What message does this send to our men and women in uniform? The leader of the party that endlessly praises themselves for "opposing the war but supporting the troops" just told these same troops that they're mission is unwinnable! How is that supporting the troops? "Well guys, I hate to break it to you....but.....your all screwed, and all the work you've done and injuries you've incurred and friends you've lost we're for nothing!" Yeah, that's supporting the troops alright!

Ask any Marine, or airman or infantryman what the sole reason for living is when their deployed, you know what they'll tell you... the MISSION! That's right, some of them actually DO believe in what they're doing over there and want to see the job completed! And you know who else wants us there? The IRAQI PEOPLE! Ask any serviceman or woman who's back from Iraq and they'll echo my sentiment. Or check out my friend Michael Yon's blog here: http://michaelyon.blogspot.com/ to prove my point.

And Dean went on, "I've seen this before in my life. This is the same situation we had in Vietnam. Everybody then kept saying, 'just another year, just stay the course, we'll have a victory.' Well, we didn't have a victory, and this policy cost the lives of an additional 25,000 troops because we were too stubborn to recognize what was happening."

And do you know why we didn't win in Vietnam, Howie? Because of nay-sayers like you! The US military could have beaten the North Vietnamese but they weren't allowed too. Weren't allowed because of people like Howard Dean and John Kerry and Jane Fonda and Hillary Clinton. These people have aged, but their message has stayed the same! Cut and run, cut and run, at the first sign of trouble, cut and run!

This war has already been won in Iraq. The major conflict is over. Mission Accomplished! It's cleanup time now. Time to let the rats come out from hiding and when they do, send them to their Maker and let him sort them out!

Over and over again we're browbeaten with the comparisons to Vietnam. "It's a quagmire," they say while bemoaning the 2,000 plus soldiers who have died there. Apparently the left has no grasp of history (obvious by Dean's mention of 25,000 troop deaths in 'Nam.) Compare the number of deaths in Iraq, where we have seen massive successes, to that in WWI, WWII or the Civil War, where tens-of-THOUSANDS died in a matter of hours on one battlefield! 6,821 brave Marines died in the Pacific to secure 8 square miles of volcanic rock called Iwo Jima! But aren't you glad and thankful and proud they did?

What if Dean had have been alive then, God forbid? At the first sign of American casualties incurred in France, or Guam, or Korea, the Balkans, Antietam, or Yorktown he would have been on the horn, spouting the same defeatist crap!

You know whose turning Iraq into Vietnam? The nay-sayers like Dean and his ilk. There is no logical comparison between the two! The Democrats (with a few exceptions) and peaceniks out there don't have the collective stomach to stay the course and finish the job, or at least get the Iraqis to the point they can fight for themselves.

Oh, but that's not all. Dean also said, "The White House wants us to have a permanent commitment to Iraq. This is an Iraqi problem. President Bush got rid of Saddam Hussein and that was a great thing, but that could have been done in a very different way. But now that we're there we need to figure out how to leave. 80% of Iraqis want us to leave, and it's their country."

Yep, and Hitler was just a European problem too.

And what's with this lier-lier-pants-on-fire nonsense about Bush wanting a permanent commitment in Iraq. It was just one week ago that Bush addressed the nation and reinforced the fact that getting our troops out ASAP is and always has been the plan! What would Dean have had us do, he says getting Saddam out was a good thing? Were we to have just kicked Hussein out and gotten the hell out, leaving innocent Iraqis at the mercy of radicals and rabid sects that ache to see Iraq divided and/or destroyed and a radical Muslim state established? Then Bush wouldn't have done enough! It's damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't with these people, always has been.

And how many years, again, have we had troops in Korea and Germany, hmmmmmm, don't see any requests for a pullout there, even thought tese countries have been peaceful for DECADES!

Eighty percent of Iraq may very well want us to leave, you can't blame them, but they don't want us to leave now! Talk about throwing a fledgling nation to the wolves!

So, once again the Democrats are out, attacking Bush, the war, the troops, the mission and all of those who favor it while not providing one ounce of ideas for a better plan. We should be used to it by now, I guess. But somebody should really shut Howard up before he starts sounding any more another pesimistic fellow not keen on victory in Iraq: Usama Bin Ladin.
