Boycott required....

I just thought I'd give you all a quick update on the issue I spoke of a few weeks ago regarding the merchandising of pro-Communist-murderer merchandise to our teens. Visages of Che Guevara, Castro executioner and Marxist soldier, can be seen on everything from tee shirts to berets and have been circulating the nation, viewed as hip and chic among the younger crowd and marketed mercilessly by companies like Anchor Blue, Hot Topic, Burlington Coat Factory and Mainland Skate and Surf.

And, sure enough, as I shopped alongside my younger brothers on Christmas Eve (we're men, we don't buy ahead of time) I was taken aback when, while checking out the tee shirt rack at Anchor Blue for signs of Che, I was confronted instead with the visages of Emiliano Zapata, Mexican revolutionary and gorilla leader of Marxist leanings; Pancho Villa, Mexican cattle rustler, killer, bandit and outlaw; and as if those two aren't enough, good-old-worthy-of-adoration Albert Capone! That's right, Capone...of Chicago. You remember him, the most infamous mafia kingpin in American history, responsible for untold murders, crime, bootlegging, smuggling and tax evasion in the State of Illinois, Capone. Yes, him.

Barum, pum, pum, pum.

Unbelievable.

What's next? Bonny & Clyde matching placemats? Pol Pot pot-holders? Maybe Nero lawn torches.

If you'd like to make a comment and express your disappointment with these four American companies, merchandising clothing that canonizes some of the worst characters in recent history to our children, please find links to their websites below. Thanks.
