Well, not really, but my blogging attention has been focused completely on the new blog for KVI. My work load there has gotten to the point where double-blogging is impossible and would start running my life if I let it. So, instead, for those of you who hit me up here or have in the past, I'd like to direct you to the KVI blog for all the latest and greatest news and gossip, as I see it. I post under the pen-name The Show and I've done a much better job including as much content as possible each day, better than I did here, so you should be pleased and stay informed.

Thanks to everyone who read my screeds here at The Boiling Point!! (I promise it will return to greatness once I hire that cute Swedish assistant to assist me in my work load...)

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.

"Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I' ve made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for well, you know.And what a deal it is for me!!

WA State Supreme Court upholds marriage...

The Washington State Supreme Court voted 5-4 today to uphold the federal Defense of Marriage Act sgned into law by Bill Clinton, stating that marriage exists only between a man and woman. In a liberal state such as our own this is a big win for supporters of traditional marriage and a huge blow to homosexual activists. I got a chance to spend some time with my favorite comedian and the inspiration for my own humor, Lewis Black, on Monday night at a local book signing. He's best know for his "Back in Black" segment on The Daily Show and his costic, angry comedy shows. Lew's had his own HBO special, headlined on Comedy Central twice, starred in several movies, performed on Broadway, is a best-selling author and has been entertaining crowds the world over for 15 years as a stand up comedian. Story from a co-worker....

One of my sons serves in the military. He is still stateside, here in California. He called me yesterday to let me know how warm and welcoming people were to him, and his troops, everywhere he goes, telling me how people shake their hands, and thank them for being willing to serve, and fight, for not only our own freedoms but so that others may have them also.
But he also told me about an incident in the grocery store he stopped at yesterday, on his way home from the base. He said that ahead of several people in front of him stood a woman dressed in a burkha. He said when she got to the cashier she loudly remarked about the U.S. flag lapel pin the cashier wore on her smock. The cashier reached up and touched the pin, and said proudly," Yes, I always wear it and probably always will."

The woman in the burkha then asked the cashier when she was going to stop bombing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi. A gentleman standing behind my son stepped forward, putting his arm around my son's shoulders, and nodding towards my son, said in a calm and gentle voice to the Iraqi woman,

"Lady, hundreds of thousands of men and women like this young man have fought and died so that YOU could stand here, in MY country and accuse a check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen. It is my belief that had you been this outspoken in YOUR own country, we wouldn't need to be there today. But, hey, if you have now learned how to speak out so loudly and clearly, I'll gladly buy you a ticket and pay your way back to Iraq so you can straighten out the mess in YOUR country that you are obviously here in MY country to avoid."

Everyone within his hearing distance cheered!

It's no wonder why the Dixie Chicks launched their concert season in France...you play to your audience, and we all know you can't get much more anti-American then Paris. But it actually surprises me that they knew enough about their audience to pick a place like France, when you consider the disdain they've shown their US country-music audience - that has all but left their corner. So much so, in fact, that they're forced to look to our neighbor to the north, Canada, for shows, cause US ticket sales are so low. And how could that be? Maybe because they have NO understanding of what it means to "know your audience." Yes, they had enough sense to open in France, but that's a first. Cause when it comes to their fans in the US, they've got no clue. Country fans are patriotic, love and support their President, Democrat or Republican, but especially Bush and especially after 9-11 and throughout our fight in the Middle East. You want to ostracize your audience quick? Say the things they said about Bush and the US...and continue to say them! It's that simple. They continue to spew disdain for our country and leader and then act surprised and pi**ed when ticket sales don't go their way. Yes, their CD is at the top of the Billboard Rating for sales, but controversy sells and I guarantee you it surely isn't selling out at Wal-Marts around the nation.

The three girls many of us country boys used to fantasize about have turned into nothing but contemptible, Euro-trash lookalikes. Natalie Maines, the lead singer recently had this to say about the US,

"The entire country may disagree with me, but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism," Maines resumes, through gritted teeth. "Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country, I don't see why people care about patriotism."

Well Maines, if you don't understand now, you never will...

Larry the Cable Guy is right when he says that if it wasn't for those 2 attractive sisters, the little fat one would be working a Lane Bryant in Nashville somewhere. At least there we wouldn't have to listen to the her spew her disdain for our country from her vaulted platform of stardom.

We are not a nation of immigrants! I repeat, we are not a nation on immigrants. (And if I hear Bush or any other leader use that saying again...the remote is going thru the TV!)

I am not an immigrant, and I doubt you, or anyone you know, are. While our country did originate from a gathering of peoples from Britain, and to a small extent western Europe and later other countries around the globe, the majority of our country is, and has been for over two hundred years, populated by NATIVE BORN United States citizens. Anyone born on United States real-estate is a citizen, NOT an immigrant, no matter where your ancestors came from or how recently they came. Bush and the rest of our cliche'-heavy "leaders" that use this phrase act as though we all just up and gathered in the US within the last two generations.

EVERY country is a country of immigrants if you go back FAR enough! Even seed countries like Britain, Germany and China were built from native sects and tribes before they obtained their sovereign status. They act as though our parent countries just sprung up from the ground one day!

This is an asinine comment on the part of our elected leaders and just represents another way they attempt to legitimize their plans to legalize the 11 million Mexican felons living among us.

Domestic off-shore drilling killed...again....

The House voted this week to retain our ban on drilling for oil and natural gas in our own coastal waters. With gas and energy prices at all-time highs and shaky relationships abroad, it seems like common sense to drill for our own oil in our own waters. But apparently not to mental midgets in the House. Even Cuba, at the behest of communist China, has the common sense to tap into the generous reserves off their coastline. Which happens to be just forty miles off our Florida coastline!

So, thanks to House Democrats and a handful of spineless Republicans, we will stay bent over a barrel by counties like Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and Mexico. This is the height of stupidity and shortsightedness by our leadership in the House.

Next time you're at the pump paying 50$ for a tank of gas, remeber our wise leaders and make sure to say a special 'thank you' for their wisdom!

WHAT'S ALL THE FUSS?

Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we?

Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was "desecrated" when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I'll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called "insurgents" in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college hazing incident, rest assured that I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed "special" food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being "mishandled," you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled "Koran" and other times "Quran." Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and ---- you guessed it - - - I don't care ! !

Everyone in this country should go see United 93. Especially if you've forgotten what happened on 9-11 and, frankly, even if you haven't.

I didn't think I'd forgotten. I'm constantly immersed in a branch of the media where the mention of 9-11 is a constant, I listened to the broadcast of the tragedy, play by play, as it unfolded on the radio that day. I consider myself a patriotic United States citizen who cherishes the memory of those lost and understand the impact it had on our country, economy and national security and the tough decisions it forced our leaders to make....and yet, I was deeply touched by this film.

Rick Monday saves the flag....

Thirty years ago this month, Rick Monday, centerfielder for the visiting Chicago Cubs, saved the US flag from two creeps trying to burn it on the outfield lawn of Dodger Stadium. The MLB honored the former Marine's show of respect last week and linked to the audio of Dodgers' legendary sportscaster, Vin Scully's audio from that game on April 25th, 1976. Casey Sheehan's missing headstone....

On the left is the picture of a cemetery. What cemetery and whose grave? It, sadly, is the grave of Casey Sheehan. After two years, and a DOD payment of $250,000 to "Peace Mom," Cindy, she has not had the time or bothered to have a headstone placed on this young hero's grave. And, she doesn't even have to pay for one, the DOD will provide one:

"The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a government headstone or marker for the grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world. For all deaths occurring before September 11, 2001, the VA may provide a headstone or marker only for graves that are not marked with a private headstone. Flat markers in granite, marble, and bronze and upright headstones in granite and marble are available. The style chosen must be consistent with existing monuments at the place of burial. Niche markers are also available to mark column area used for inturnment of cremated remains."

She can find time to protest on at least 3 continents, blow through $250,000 on a new car and vacation in Hawaii, get arrested on several occasions, have photo ops with the Marxists in Venezuela, and erect tributes to herself but can't seem to find the time to properly mark her son's grave.

Disgusting.
